ARE YOU BORN IN PUNARPUSAM / PUNARVASU NAKSHATRA? (Star 7)

PUNARPUSAM, the root of Jupiter-ian energy, consists of two bright stars in the constellation of mithunam, know in modern astronomy as CASTOR & POLLUX.  With visual magnitudes of 1.58 and 1.22 respectively, Castor & Pollux are easily visible in the night sky.

In most ancient cultures these stars were seen as TWINS (brothers or lovers).  The ancient VEDIC SEERS however saw this asterim as a "QUIVER OF ARROWS".

Punarpusam translates into "GOOD AGAIN", or "WEALTHY AGAIN".  We also get the impression of some positive transformation from darkness into light.

The arrows in the Punarpusam quiver are not normal arrows.  They are supposed to be like the divine astras (weapons), used in ancient times, which magically RETURN after fulfilling their function or mission. It is Punarpusam's function to ensure safe return to the starting point.

ADITI, the mother of the 12 Adityas (solar deities), is the main ruling deity of Punarpusam.  She is often seen as the goddess of abundance. In a way she relates to all SPACE.  Aditi or space is the prerequisite for any motion or movement.  If there is no space there is no motion!

Aditi's rulership of Punarpusam imparts it with a MATERNAL, CARING, SENSITIVE, REASONABLE & ACCOMMODATING APPROACH.

Punarpusam relates to 'VASTUVA PRAPANA SHAKTI" - the power to gain or retrieve objects or objectives.  Its main theme is TRIUMPHANT RETURN & RENEWAL.

Punarpusam is related to all kinds of practices meant to foster self-understanding and enlightenment.  The interplay of mental and emotional gives rise to a very active, profound and inspired imagination.  Punarpusam natives thus excel in arts like poetry and writing.

Punarpusam always tend to FAIL or not get far in their 1ST ATTEMPT at any pursuit, but the funny part is that they almost SUCCEED if they try a SECOND TIME. That is why Punarpusam translates to being Good Again.

It belongs to VAISHYA (Merchant) class because of its closeness with the mercantile planet, MERCURY.

It is a MALE & a VATA (airy) nakshatra.

FINGERS & NOSE are the body parts related to this Nakshatra.

Its DIRECTION is primarily related to the arc made by West, North and North East.

The 1st paagam of Punarpusam indicates to the moveable, adventurous & pioneering side.

The 2nd paagam of  Punarpusam indicates materialism aspect.

The 3rd paagam of Punarpusam indicates imagination and science aspect.

The 4th paagam of Punarpusam is considered to be one of the strongest and most powerful one.

DO YOU KNOW which paagam of PUNARPUSAM you belong to?  Every paagam comes with different interpretations.  Only DETAILED ASTROLOGERS can let you know the difference.

MOST FAMOUS PERSONALITIES OF PUNARPUSAM :- RAMA.  He always got everything right only in two-goes (he lost his kingdom and wife and then regained them back), as suggested by the expression "GOOD AGAIN".
